Praia da Figueirinha has wicker parasols and loungers for rent in the summer
The biggest beach in the Arrábida Natural Park extends for 1km and is the easiest to reach from the city of Setúbal, so it’s very popular with locals. The water here is quite shallow and the temperature tends to be one or two degrees higher than at the other beaches in the park, so it’s better for swimming and families (avoid it on weekends, when it can get crowded).

How to Get to Praia da Figueirinha Beach
The stop for the bus that connects Praia da Figueirinha to the other beaches in the Arrábida Natural Park
Praia da Figueirinha is the only beach on the Arrábida coast with a direct bus service from Setúbal (for the other beaches, you need to connect to another bus that stops here). That’s the seasonal bus 723 of the TST company (operating between mid-June and mid-September) that departs from Setúbal’s bus station every 15 minutes. It makes several stops in the city, and terminates in Praia da Figueirinha in about 25 minutes. The bus station is on Avenida 5 de Outubro, 44, in the center of Setúbal, about a 10-minute walk from the train station.
